Sunday
It's not the gift, but what the gift represents...

Last Monday, May 15th, Seth, myself, and our children spent the day driving around to all of his jobs and seeing what he’s working on. These particular jobs also happen to be a few hours up North and so it was very pretty and enjoyable. Whenever we drive we take that golden opportunity of time and catch up on the comings and goings of our lives. Those of you who are married with children, you get it. I was talking for a bit about how the milk cows were doing, how the business side was going, and all of the general happenings in the past few weeks. No sooner do I finish talking than my phone dings with a text. I am told by a fellow farmer and friend, that she gave my number to a friend of hers who has a cow she needs to sell. I looked at Seth and said, “Well, that’s interesting. We were just talking about the dairy girls and I got this text.”
A few minutes pass and my phone dings again, only it’s the owner of the cow. After a few texts back and forth, I find out that this cow is A2/A2, she is in milk and is a great producer, she’s beautiful and has great conformation, and she comes from the same dairy that I’ve bought three of my others cows from! Kinda crazy because not many people would know of this dairy. If I were to be looking for a cow to buy, this cow is EXACTLY the cow I would be looking for. Except I wasn’t looking for a cow and I actually was content with how things were.
I need to back up a minute…a few weeks ago while I was praying, I prayed that the Lord would show me what things in my life needed to change and what things needed to stay as they are. I prayed many things, but the part that is of importance here is that I asked the Lord if He wanted me to continue to have the milk cows and grow in this area or if He wanted it to change. I laid it all before Him and told Him that all of it was His and that I am happy with whatever He decides. It’s not that I don’t love having a micro dairy and getting to have my dairy girls…I actually love it so much! I just know from past experiences that I don’t want anything that God doesn’t want for me; it’s way too hard and I’ve no interest in doing things the hard way…intentionally.
In my previous post, I told everyone about the death of my favorite cow Luna. That was a really hard time and it still makes me sad. I felt like I was doing the best I could do and yet, she died. I wasn’t sure why the Lord took her or if He was trying to tell me something. All I really knew at that moment was that I still had things to do and that no matter what, I had to care for my current animals. We also know that when you own a farm, animals die. As the saying goes, “If you have livestock, you’ll have dead stock.” There’s no way around it and it’s part of the hardships of animal stewardship. I also decided that I wasn’t going to look for another cow. Things were good as they were and we are currently raising a few replacement heifers. In time, I would have another cow or two to replace Luna. (And anyone that knows me well, knows that I LOVE to look at milk cows. It’s a disease.)
So back to this past Monday, when I was asked if I was interested in this cow, and that she was the EXACT cow I’d want if I were to be looking for one, I just smiled and thanked the Lord for His answering of my prayers! It’s not really about the cow, although she is so lovely and sweet. It’s what she represents, what she stands for. She is the answer to my prayers and PROOF that God answers prayers. She’s proof that when you surrender your life to God, He listens and answers in them in ways you don’t even expect!
If you know the Lord and you aren’t sure if He hears you, He does and keep praying! If you don’t know the Lord, pray to Him and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Read the gospels and and find peace in Jesus.
I hope this has been an encouragement to you. It’s been a great encouragement to me to see the Lord’s work in my life.

So walking in faith and excitement as well, we will continue on in raising these beautiful cows, on rich green grass, that will make delicious and healthy milk for my family and yours. Sunday came to the farm today Copper + Cream Farm is able to take on more milk customers. Yay! I’ve contacted a few people on my waiting list, but I know I have a few new people here. I am still working on contacting everyone on my list, so if you’re interested in becoming a milk customer, please contact me!
You can email me at: noelmcneil@protonmail.com I’ll give you my cell number at that point, I’d rather not put it on here.
Thanks for being here; we appreciate you!

Hi how to I buy milk?
Hello I would like more information about purchasing from you! I'm bad at navigating this site, is there an email or another way to contact you? I'm in red bluff and looking for raw cream if possible
